It might be easier getting it off if its soft, but when you're trying to get it on it will be flopping all over the place.

And then you'll have to figure out your own hookups if you get hard in the future, rather than letting Ford figure all that out for you.

Those are quiet the tradeoffs just for the chance that it might come a little faster

I changed from a 2 door base to a 4 door base with soft top on May 7th, and my res got pulled on Thursday - July 12th build. Day two reservation.

I will say the convertible tops have come a long way since the beginning. For example, the top on the wife's Mustang is like 1000% better than the top on my old '65 Impala I drove when I was a kid. The design, and materials are much better. Her Mustang is quit quiet inside, and the temperature holds very well. Heck, it's quieter inside than my new Ranger.

Remember, "A good man is hard to find"........and vice versa. :)

Similar story with a twist, I changed from a 2 door base Sasquatch 2.3 MIC top to a 4 door base Sasquatch 2.7 with soft top on May 21st, and my res got pulled on Thursday - July 26th build. October 31st $2,000 off Invoice Granger reservation.
I don't believe there is anyway this build gets pulled if I had not switched to a soft top.

2dr, so not an option. My hope is that with all the people switching to the soft top to get their Bronco a little (or lot in some cases) earlier that it might relieve some of the stress from the MIC top option. Plus, if Ford has taken over operations from Webasto, and dumped millions of dollars into the MIC top issue, then perhaps it will payoff to ride it out. Time will tell.
I'm with you. Fortunate not to have a vehicle that has to be replaced. Only problem is the color selection rears it's ugly head again with more time and pictures showing up like this:

You are not alone in the soft top crowd. After seeing the 4 doors at Mile High Stadium on May 30th, it solidified my choice to go 4 door and soft top. Hope that the MIC is an option for later. May have to go aftermarket if not. Only problem is the door bags and the availability with hard top only. Will have to research the solution to that one.
I was able to have the dealer add the door bags back after I changed to soft top even though B&P doesn't show them. Got my order pulled last Thursday.

With you OP.

Went dual top to soft only May 11.

Previewed two weeks ago but no dice.

Hope to get good news Thursday.

I’m turning 50 this year, so ummmm, eh…😟
Lol, just saying, 50 is necessarily it!

Now, went on a fishing trip with my old man and his buddies (all mid 70's)..... jeezus cripes, that was the most disturbing campfire chatter EVER..... crusty old farts comparing the pros and cons of Viagra and Cialis.
