IAG steps - not holding up well to the elements

None of my American steel bumpers or steps have rusted like that. And they salt the roads like crazy here. All I'm going to say is I would love to know where the metal is sourced from.

After reading all these responses i want to return mine. They have been shipped but bot delivered. I hope they accept the return.

We have not seen these issues with the new steps, so I would not worry. However, if you do experience any issues we will stand behind the product as we have done for everyone. If you would still prefer to return the product we can do that for you, but I wouldn't be too worried.

Sorry - I should have been clearer. I had the same rusting issue and you guys sent me a new set with a return shipping slip last week. Super easy.

UPDATE: IAG reached out to me quickly and followed up with a phone call...they have apologised, they know what the issue is and have offered to send a full set of upgraded steps for me as a replacement with paid return of my old set...certainly cannot fault their customer support...and they say they are VERY confident with the quality of the upgraded version...

Dangit....I saw this and was like "thankfully mine don't look like that"....upon closer inspection....
They aren't nearly as bad as some of the ones here but I know over time they will get there. Guess I'll be reaching out to support.

I have the full length running boards that I bought back in August or September of last year. I have had no issues with any peeling or rusting. They still look great and new. I think IAG knew of the issues though and mine were not of the 1st production and had more of the protection on them.

I’ve had customer service experiences with IAG… and they have been responsive, friendly, and proactive to do the right thing. Much of my Chonk (Bronco flair) is from IAG and I’ll continue to buy more.

Besides IAG, I’ve purchased Archetype (full-length step - I preferred the look/design before this issue came up), Mountains2Metal (front door pockets), and StickerFab (Badlands colored interior vinyl, etc). Everyone has been good, IAG has been great (soft-top lift assist, door sills, sunglass pockets, etc) and plan to get their tailgate table and full size bullbar.

My full length steps just arrived today in the mail, so this thread has been very joyful to see. Hopefully the new coatings work well.

From the west coast here, 8 months, no issues with mine.

I don't get it either. I am in Portland and it has been a very wet winter, and I have been to MT driving in snow on the roads and in the mountains.

I have no rust on my full length side steps from IAG and they are about 8 months old at this point.

Hi Mark, sorry you feel this way. As we have stated before, Mabett is not the manufacturer of the I-Line parts. They are simply a reseller for other manufacturers like us. We haven't "stolen" anything from anyone. In fact, these companies have copied us. If you look at the foreign steps on the market they are all clearly our design. As we've shown here, we always stand behind our products 100%. We're not perfect, but we always do the right thing for our customers and strive to get better every day.
