Update!!! CASED CLOSE --- After a few beers. Finally I was able to find out where's the noise is coming from. It was exhaust leak right under front driver side where the connecter is. It was not tight enough from the factory! Once I tighten it the noise completely disappear! Never believe what ford dealer told you. So glad that I don't have to deal with it anymore!

I believe I may have the same sound going on. Which exhaust joint was loose on yours?

Yes sir. It was an exhaust leak. Mine is located right under driver seat. There is a joint there. Grab some dish soup with water and spray it. If you see bubble then that's a leak!

My so much quieter now. Although I'm still piss at the dealer. Since they told me it's normal!

I thought you had an aftermarket exhaust after watching the video. It's so loud.

How can anyone think that was normal? lol.

Tor this is George Wu from YouTube. I have the same noise as you! I’ve been to two dealers and two independent mechanics, and they said it was all normal. However, the two independent dealers just looked under the hood - they did not put it on the rack and look at the underbody.
I’m thinking about taking matters into my own hands.
is there any way you could post a video of where your leak was? I’ll spray with soapy water too.
Mines is a 2022 Badlands Sasquatch 2.7. Delivery date was 12-2022

If you have a picture of the problem area that would be super helpful.

I love love love that dealers keep lying to us about various issues on the vehicles and describing them as normal.

maybe I am just a vengeful prick, but at what point can we sue? lmao

Im going to check my 2023 2.7L badlands later today for this sound. I have not heard it as of yet but also never tried listening for it. I normally notice these things immediately. Ill check it out and report back. But that dosnt sound normal to me. That hissing sound, as another person stated, is similar to a type air leak sound.

@TorBronco OMG guess what? I HAD THE SAME EXACT ISSUE AS YOU DID. After going to two different Ford dealers 4 times since December 2022, calling Ford corporate customer service, threatening to call the service manager’s boss and threatening to call the owner of the dealership if they don’t fix the issue and give me a loaner vehicle, they finally found out what was wrong with the Bronco.

They told me that the squeaking/squealing noise was a leaky exhaust. They had to order a gasket to replace the broken part. There was an obvious sign of soot build up from the part where it was leaking all this time.

This means that I’ve been driving for 5,000+ miles for the past three months with a brand new Bronco that had an exhaust leak. If it weren’t for you posting your video with sounds here (and me comparing my video sounds to yours), who knows if anyone would have figured it out?

I love how I don’t know anything about cars and am not a car person, but (as somebody else on this forum put it) aren’t we all so glad that we have to do the Ford service departments’ jobs for them?

NEVER TRUST THE DEALER. They will give you the runaround and tell you everything is normal when it is not. It is either a case of abject incompetence, abject negligence, or an intentional lack of integrity in knowing there’s a problem but doing nothing to fix it. Or maybe all 3.

This sounds like the noise mine is making.
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2-7-pulley-squeak-chatter.67542/

Never thought it would be an exhaust leak. I’m going to crawl under there and check it out. I’ll report back on my findings.

edit: update: it does in fact seem to be an exhaust leak from the little v band /clamp under the driver’s seat where the exhaust from the passenger’s side connects. I snugged it up as much as I could but it looks like the clamp itself might be messed up. Couldn’t get the noise to go away.
