Infotainment Screen Freezing

Anyone else experienced on start up a frozen infotainment screen? put vehicle into reverse - camera engaged - putting back into D and the screen is frozen on the rear camera view but not moving - so frozen.

Mine 3 year old Badlands 12” screen does all kinds of weird stuff, similar to what you described, intermittently. It started a few months ago, probably a new software update with a bug.

Might be a software thing. My 12 inch infotainment freezes up while on Apple car play at least twice a week

yes, take it in. There’s module updates that fix it or prove that it needs to be replaced.

Odd things happen constantly. Freezing up, CarPlay not connecting, blank screen, losing my home address is nearly constant and massively annoying since I pay for Nav. In general, the software blows. A non-stop source of frustration.

Mine periodically freezes at the Bronco splash screen. If I leave it be for a few minutes it seems to Restart, but man- when it’s hot and I want to see the AC settings… Blah.

CarPlay freezing is a real bummer. I’ve missed several turns given by google maps since the screen was frozen…

Do the reboot process of holding down the on/off button and the fast forward button simultaneously for about 5 seconds until the screen goes black.

Having "Pitch & Roll" selected as the side screen option caused all sorts of freezing and audio glitches for me when shifting into reverse. Switching it to anything else fixed most of my issues.

Yep, mine too! I think it’s overtaken the double honk and auto shutoff as far as the most annoying thing about my Bronco.

My 2023 is at the dealer today as my screen worked but my XM radio froze up for two days. It just said “loading.” I just received a call from the dealer they had to order a new module. Odd
