A little rundown:

be careful with the crank case vent clips, they’ll break, wife broke one and luckily the autozone had one in stock.

it’s a lot of work, I’d say the tear down was longer than the reinstall but they both have some challenges. Lots of tight spaces and hose clamps.

the kit fits well and wasn’t too horrible to put back together but I’d say 2+ hours for each part. We started around 5 and was done with the test drive at 930. I also dropped something almost immediately, an 8mm in my case, luckily it fell to the belly pan so I had a slowdown getting that off and back on so maybe could have shaved half an hour off.

I’d definitely recommend a second pair of hands, my wife helped and besides our usual bickering because we work differently, I would probably still be out there.

The test drive:

wife drove first but I quickly realized she’s got chicken foot and needed to jump in to make sure we didn’t have any boost leaks. I did notice a nice whooshy growl when you tip in.

When I got in I quickly hit 19.8 psi and it felt right.

overall I’m happy but I wish I would have just bought hot side charge pipes too since they have to come off anyway.

The difference between the Corsa unit and the Injen unit is massive actually. The Corsa unit is basically just a box (with a smaller inlet actually) and a simple "Y" section to attached the restrictive factory intake tubes. It's basically just a replacement filter inside a box and not a true intake system.

The Injen unit not only uses a much larger filter/box, but it also has an attachment point for our snorkel that is currently in development. On top of that, Injen is the only manufacturer that designed their intake tubes that go all the way to the turbos. Our competition did not go all the way to the turbos because they couldn't figure out the vacuum port for the crank case pressure sensor which caused their kits to throw check engine lights. This is the main reason why our competition stops before the turbos and thus leaving that restriction point at the turbo and hurting power output.

Our engineering team designed our own version of the OE vacuum port to match our improved airflow and had it injected molded for a precision fit on our intake tubes. This allowed us to remove that major choking point right at the turbos and provided us with the additional power on the 2.7L that our competition just can't match (until they copy us that is).
Just had mine installed yesterday grovered home everything was fine this morning I started it up I have an engine light. Throwing a code. Not sure what the heck's up with that.

Do you have a code reader? If not go to a parts store, they can read them. Report back on what it is. Probably a loose fitting somewhere.

You had someone install it? Curious what that cost.

He charged me $180. He checked and retighten all connections this morning. Don't know if it will help. We can't see anything that should cause this. I do have to stop somewhere to read the code. Hopefully we can reset with Forscan when he gets his laptop in a little e. Then hope it doesn't come back. Frustrating. Had a problem with the Mishimoto dual catch cans. Now this.

That's a good price for all the work that needed to be done. Of course, not if you keep having issues. There's definitely something loose. I see you posted in the other thread, let's just keep it going on that one since there's more info there!

Seems to be an ongoing issue with the 2.7l. I've had my 2023 Badlands 2.7l at the dealer a couple of times and Ford Engineering is aware and has no fix. I began using 91 octane a couple tanks ago and so far, the light has not come back on.

From another thread many in this thread are also participating in:

What year is yours? Mine is a 23. Here is the code. We pulled lubricated and reattached the CCV tube and reset code.🤞

This doesn't work on the 23 , it throws a code. The code is with the CCV system. Similar to the Mishimoto dual catch can system that throws a different but similar code on the 23 MY. I have been in contact with someone named Nathan with your company who is supposed to be in contact with R and D. I have sent pictures. Install is correct. Installer even bought a smoker to test the system, no leaks, everything is perfect. I watched him do it, he was VERY thorough!! There is a TSB for the 23's That has to do with a code that is different than this code, but deals with the same system . My thought is that TSB, which is a "flash to the ECU, might perimeters to similar or same as 22/22 MY. Something has to be done. I am driving around with engine light on.🤬. Please follow up. Supposedly, they will have a 23 in house this week. Because I have aftermarket CAI, and the code isn't the same as TSB, so Ford will not do the flash for me for free. Please pass along info. They should know my situation all ready.

Another interesting side note, we stayed at 18.5 or 18.6 mpg for a long time. Just took a trip to FL for the 4th and it dropped to 18.4 on the way down as the traffic pace was insane (averaging 90 for about 100mi) but on the way back it was much slower and actually got up to 18.8. Now we're reading 18.9 so I feel safe saying that the intake actually helped fuel economy as it's too late to attribute it to summer gas and we haven't really changed our driving habits.

I have seen slight improvements as well, but I have been doing about 97% city driving. I will say the smiles per miles have gone up. Hearing the turbos spool now, and my crisp whoosh sound is definitely worth the price of admission :) Also with adding sport mode, oh man its fun.

Next on the list will be an intercooler, and then I will be finished, engine-wise.

Are you going to do charge pipes too when you do the intercooler? I kind of wish I had bought them before doing this so it all could be done at once and not have to pull everything apart again. I didn't see much need for better charge pipes but if they're coming out anyway...

I did not decide. I want to see the Injen ones, I know the chrome setup looks really really good. I may do it, lol I am doing way to much to my Bronco! Though honestly not much more I need to do to the Shelby, and the 68 will need an interior and paint soon, but that will be sort of a all-in-one project.
