Ohhhh I didn't realize that was there, I thought all the terminations were under the hood.
yep. In the pic above, you have to splice the yellows to the green or purple to complete those runs. The yellow (in pic) wires are just sitting there ready for use. Pretty nice feature. Same thing under the hood. Wires are not connected to anything, so you don't have to use the switches.

It is a little confusing. But you use the connections in the glove box if you want to connect wires to the top of the windshield or to the trunk.

I have not yet, but that is why I got the dual. I was thinking maybe adding a port in the glove box. They do make singles too.
Thats what I figured, just fishing for ideas. Thanks dude! I have the AUX switches as well. So going to hopefully get to this on the weekend.

Can wires B1/B2 be connected directly to the battery and not go through the Aux switches?

is it safe to splice B1, for example, to power two separate things assuming the amperage is not too great?

They are just unterminated, unfused wires. No requirement to use the aux switches. Just keep battery drain in mind, and install a fuse close to the battery.
