I really like this one, thanks for posting. I understand the concerns other may have but this looks perfect for me. Did you consider the other one they make? Having trouble understanding why they would make two when this one seems to check all the right boxes.This from HookeRoad;

https://shop.diabolicalinc.com/products/bronco-slide-floorThanks for the pic. What do you have under it? Another shelf with a slide out under it?
The other tray they offer actually sits on top of the lip where the top attaches to the rail. I have some issues with my hardtop and will be turning a warranty claim in soon. I didn’t want to put anything on top of that lip that might void the warranty. also, I believe that basket is a little deeper than the one that I purchased that attaches to the cage.I really like this one, thanks for posting. Had the M2M one installed for a while, and wasn't all that impressed. It sat a bit low for my needs. The design is definitely innovative, but when you need to move anything large it is still in the way. It'd be nice to see a shelf that can be quickly removed when needed. It also rattled a little bit over bumps due to the latch design. I've heard some good things about the Havoc rack though.I like Mountains to Metal. It hinges up for more access.

I would think they are all an issue in someway or at one particular time. Just depends on your needs. Took a train and a semi to deliver the Bronco. There will always be cargo that doesn’t fit. Thanks for the tip on M2M rattle. I don’t care for rattles.Had the M2M one installed for a while, and wasn't all that impressed. It sat a bit low for my needs. @IwannaGOfast do you know if it would it be possible to mount this shelf underneath the hard top? (I have yet to take off my hard top, not sure how long those bolts are). If so, you could take the top on and off w/o needing to remove the shelf (but conversely would need to remove the hard top if you wanted to remove the shelf). I like the price of the Hooke Road option, but don't love the brackets that attach to the roll cage bars. Like you, I would want an option that doesn't require removal of the shelf every time I want to take the top off.Yes this one is for the hardtop, however in order to remove the hardtop you will need to uninstall this shelf. That is why I am looking for an option that mounts off of the roll cage, like the 4 above that I linked.
Thanks @IwannaGOfast for this write-up, super helpful. Looks like Goat is no longer making this product. I like the Rock Hard option best - it's lighter aluminum, and has a clean bracket connection. What did you end up doing?I have been looking at a bunch of these options as I am about to pull the trigger on one myself.
The Havoc one you posted seems to sit very high, blocking most of the view out the back window (even when empty). It also mounts to the top of the inside of the hardtop, so it needs to be removed to in order to remove the hardtop.
The M2M one is a cool idea, but since it folds up it is limited in how big it can be and IMO it’s just too small for my needs.
I want one that doesn’t need to be removed in order to remove the hardtop. That narrows down the list of options, but I feel like each has pros/cons.
American Adventure Labs is adjustable in height (highest amount of adjustability), large cargo size, looks very nice, removable side rails, has accessories made specifically for it, and made from aluminum. However the mounting brackets seem bulky and cover the nutserts on the roll bar, it’s expensive, the additional accessories are expensive and add up as well.

Goat Fab is adjustable in height, mounting brackets are sleek. However the sides are way to tall, its narrower than others (I think the height of sides plays a factor in this), it’s expensive and the basket only comes in steel.

Rock Hard 4x4 has a nice large cargo size (widest), comes in aluminum or steel, mounting brackets are sleek, does not block rearview when empty and cheaper than first two options (aluminum $400, steel $350). However its main downfall is it has no adjustability.

Hooke Road is the cheapest option ($230) and has the deepest platform. However it has no adjustability, the brackets are extremely bulky

Ultimately I like the AAL basket the most, the brackets from Goat Fab, and the price from Rock Hard. At this point I am considering getting the Rock Hard and fabricating my own adjustable brackets, unless I am very happy with the height it comes at. Sorry if none of this applies to your needs, but I figured it would give me a reason to write down the pros/cons and hopefully make a decision as I need it for a trip planned mid January.
For the type of shelves that mount to where the hardtop secures to..... I think you will find that the top may have a seal issue if you mount the shelf underneath the hard top? Maybe the work around is to put a weather stripping or something there but might turn into an eye sore? Even the rear glass may not have such a snug seal to the tailgate then?@IwannaGOfast do you know if it would it be possible to mount this shelf underneath the hard top? yeah, I think you're right. I was hoping it could all be cranked down tight to maintain the seal, but I think it would leave a gap. Sounds like the best option (if you want to add/remove the hard top often is the cargo rack that mounts to the roll bar beams.For the type of shelves that mount to where the hardtop secures to..... I looked into this a bit on my other rig and just decided to keep the top on. And if I ever get the urge to remove it, Ill just undo the shelf as well.
The adjustability of the AAL brackets is nice. But it’s unfortunate they block the nursery’s on the top. Can’t mount a fire extinguisher. But maybe that’s a small sacrifice.I have been looking at a bunch of these options as I am about to pull the trigger on one myself.
