How comfortable are the handles, I'm not a fan of the paracord ones that hang down, but the lighted ones seem a bit ridged...
There is an easy fix for the hanging paracord handles. Fold over the ends, drive the screw through the gromet and then the webbing underneath and screw into the OEM locations. With most handles this shortens them just enough so they don't hang below the side airbag enclosure yet have enough slack to them to grab comfortably. No idea why literally every seller of these makes them so long.

I see no need to overpay for a paracord handle so I used the Chinazon specials for mine, and they have worked great https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B1M3RNPY/

I am contemplating this new style of handles (also sold by the buttercup lady, forget the name of her website) mostly because of the almost excessive amount of light they produce.

Buckle Up Buttercup

The lights certainly are bright!

My grab handles are used more for passengers to grab on to while off road vs getting in and out, (thus the comfort question)

You are supposed to go slow over obstacles you know :D

That's the one. Looks pretty much the same, as is typical for the East Asia parts. If Mabett's sell well, in a few months they will be on Amazon from multiple sellers with names composed mostly of consonants for $150 or less for a set of 4. Always happens.

I tried the original Mabbett lights without the handles and I could never get them to shut off. Once they came on they stayed on forever (or at least the 20 min before I had visions of a dead battery and unplugged them). Had great hopes for them but since I couldn't get them to shut off I had to take them out.
So I fought this with mine. It's clear whatever source wire they tapped into is hot more frequently than the actual light on the roll bar. HOWEVER, I did finally realize that if the lights aren't going off that its a really good indicator that one of your doors isn't fully closed. Since I started paying attention to this, the lights have been going on and off as they should.

Did all your lights stay on.? If so then I'd understand that was the issue. My factory lights and the Mabett rear cargo light all operated normally and shut off when you closed a door. It was just the four lights installed along the sids that wouldn't shut off.

Good question! I'm in the NE and the hot season is done.

I'm thinking they may be fine since it's aluminum but, could be warm at 1st touch...
I’m further south. On 90-100 days the aluminum billet custom shifter in my 1320 was hot to the touch.

Now the Mabbett light that replaced the one in the very back works fine but the ones that attached along the sides never worked for me in my truck. Or should I say they worked too well.... If they ever figure it out I'd love to try them again.

KO
Must be hit or miss as I haven't really had issues with mine.

Also, if you use the IAG box on Amazon, I've heard it solves the issue...

YMMV 🤷‍♂️
