For anyone thinking about removing the factory headliner- it’s a complete pain in the ass. Adhesive residue everywhere. Invest in a plastic scraper and a bottle of Goo Gone. Let it soak in before scraping.

I plan to go a slightly different route.
I think Goo Gone is the greener product, and Goof Off is the product with acetone. Earlier in this thread, Hothead Headliners recommended acetone, maybe it would require less effort. (Assume they've tested and it won't eat into the Bronco hardtop.)

fyi, I used acetone yesterday to carefully clean up a small area of sticker residue on the top of my Bronco rollbar, at least in terms of the paint, it didn't seem to cause any issues.

We recommend cleaning with acetone. You can view our installation video above!
Did you do any testing of the Bronco hard top panels being exposed to acetone? Something like cleaning a roof panel, and then inspecting it a couple of days later?

But it could..........that's the point. Adhesion wouldn't be ass with.......Velcro.
The adhesion with velcro would rely on the adhesion of the factory headliner. We have seen how well the factory headliner is holding up.

Do the front panels still fit in the factory carry bag with the Hotheads headliner installed?

Curious if these are better than the Anderson Composites deadening materials. Since the top's design itself is a mirror of the Factory MIC, I bet these would work on it as well.

FYI…in product info on the link they musta forgot to change it to be vehicle specific. It says “Transform your Jeep Wrangler's interior with the Hothead Headliner Kit”.

The AC headliner is quite thick. Will have to wait for real testing to see if it is better.

I know, I have that top. I think it looks great, but just curious how this one compares. Anxious to see some real world testing/use.

The radiant barrier aspects of the $50 sound assasin add-on would be a huge selling point here in Texas. Black roofs transfer tons of heat into the vehicle throughout all 13 hellish months of summer. I suggest if there is a benefit in reducing heat that you highlight that aspect as it would be a huge selling point for many.
We agree, which is why all of our headliners include a radiant barrier layer!

https://hotheadheadliners.com/blogs...fits-of-radiant-barrier-in-hothead-headliners

Since our headliners already have the radiant barrier, the addition of the Sound Assassin roof strips would be primarily for further sound damping. The Sound Assassin floor kits would be another story. I hope that makes sense.
