Thanks MNBigfoot - I have seen your various posts over time and caught the MN connection; hi neighbor!. Good to know there is at least the gas tank skid. The overlapping, same-same-but-different Ford sites/apps/etc confuse me but I shall keep on the look out for those coupons/codes! How have you found/enjoyed the Bronco (er, 'wheelin' in general) community to be here, in MN? Thanks again

Love my Bronco, it was bought to be my ice fishing rig, but the wife took it over. Planning a trip to Moab sometime, but my wheeling is strictly hunting, fishing and on the ice, although I've taken my son to play at the local 4×4 park in Appleton.
If you're interested I have a bunch of what you need in my garage (new OEM winch kit, new front bash plate, used capable bumper) I'll post it in the classifieds later today.

I too recently got my first Bronco. We found a used First Edition 4 door Sasquatch. Absolutely love it. I opted for a stand alone compressor, twin cylinder. Made up my own 4 tire inflation system. All said and done I have less than $175 into it. I know folks will frown on this, but the compressor is a Vevor twin. $103 shipped to my door. I've run it through its paces and it's impressive and solid built for Chinese made. Takes 4 minutes to air up the stock 315 70/ R17 tires from 18psi to 36psi, yes, all 4!

My next venture is in winches. Been doing a lot of research here. Make sure whatever you get, it doesn't block any sensors or ACC you may have. Also, don't block the intercooler. I am in western Wisconsin, so similar salt road conditions. I am very skeptical any winch or accessories will hold up at bumper level or below due to the winter salt on the roadways. That is the main reason I am leaning towards a removable winch setup. The only one I am aware of is the Maximus 3. It's not cheap, but fits the bill for ease of installation and removal. Whatever you choose, make sure you get the reinforcement for the bumper mount. Sounds like this is a weak spot when trying to winch from the frame ends. I'm sure they are made to crumple for crash protection and not for strength. Straight pulls sound easy enough but put at odd angles likely would be more the rule. My second choice would be a high mount such as the Ford Performance mount. Spendy option, but as others have said use points and wait for sales if you go the OEM route.

So many things that can be done to personalize the Bronco. It's a lot of fun but you can find it dwindling your bank account quickly. Do your own research and find that perfect solution for you. That's what it's all about, right? Make it Your Bronco. Enjoy!

Thanks - Been scouring this and every other forum I know of. I appreciate any 'try a search first' sentiment; just learning how to use various features of a new site is, say, challenging for me! On that, I was thinking I should post each project separately ? I see continual build threads...? How is light hijacking viewed here? lots of info and ideas here.

Rock rails - I am looking at rock raisl as a (primarily) visual upgrade to the pinch seam. I don't know enough about sliders yet.

Yes! - skid plates, under armor, etc., I have not even started that area, but I will be...

Bumper/winch - Will do a bit more research before I put the standard bumper in the recycling. If upgrading to another Ford bumper or aftermarket bumper is the ONLY way to have front-positioned winching then so be it; should be a few options for upgrades, or, maybe I can find a workable rear/hitch mounted solution?

Thanks douglasjwood! Nothing wrong with making things work for you regardless of what you spend. Hope I'm not coming across as more-money-than-sense. This build is a treat, to be sure.

I won't rush in to any winch decisions until I feel VERY comfortable with everything; like you say, there are options. My priorities have the whole winching component sort of getting lower... That said, I am still investigating if there is ANY solid (RCI is out?) front positioned winch option for the "standard" bumper; a further modification of Ragnor.Kon's installation of the FP by Warn Kit he put on a "capable" bumper; it's now at about $1k and that is doable for me if it is doable at all!
