I hope they don’t. In my opinion I think ford should do it by generation so 6th generation would be 21-31 as the same headlight design to pay homage to the 1st gen. Then the 7th generation should have the square headlights and maybe a redesign to pay homage for the 2nd-5th generations.
Wouldn't it be '21 to '32? then 33 -34 35 to 39 40 to.....

Thats why I always keep my rear doors off and have colored pom-pom streamers hooked up to my back seat vents with the air blasting full time so everyone can l see I have a 2025.
Haha true is that... Similarly I have a rare early Badlands with a rear seat center console due to one of the few who actually factory ordered there Badlands with leather... so now i do drive with my doors off and it folded down 😃
And I pop out the rear quarter windows 😏

I’m sure they’ll refresh it and it will begin to evolve away from the Gen 1 throwback charm. Honestly that’s fine with me. Just makes ours that more valuable. I’m sure the focus will now start to shift from “where” it will take you, to “how” it will take you. That will spark the evolution towards the 90’s Eddie Bauer Explorer. The circle of life..

I’m also willing to bet Ford is keenly aware of the looming Scout rebirth. I have to admit, from what I’ve seen on the internet, I am hopeful it is as cool in person as it is in the pictures. It could be what brings me into the electrical universe (would buy the version with the onboard generator).

Ouch...
Thanks for reminding me Ford killed that on my 2024 Heritage.
At least I got the 2 door I wanted before Ford killed that in 2025.

Most wouldn't know the difference.... and how would you enforce that? Just block the pic andt/or punish the person for uploading it, which would be me in this case. But why do that as this is valuable useful intel. A pic is worth a 1000 words as they say, rendered or not...
I'm not sure I'd consider this "valuable useful intel" when it's a speculative rendering based on info from a source with zero credibility.

Just curious if the comments and renderings concerning the mid cycle refresh are true regarding the move from round to square headlights, or is that just speculation.... Personally I am hoping the latter, since if true it would immediately date all older model Broncos. The real losers would be the 2025 models as right now my 2021 looks nearly identical to a 2025. Anyway headlights are a major design feature on any car that I think is best left for a generation change...

Let's worry about fixing all the recall issues first!

Wait, we're rare with a 21 Badlands with leather?
Interesting. I just wanted the power seats 😆
I have found my kids love the middle cup holder though, so that's been a plus as well.

It might be good to look at the evolution of the Mustang since they went to the retro look in 2005.

2005 - 2009 (S197) The first picture is a 2006 convertible that I owned for a few years. When the concept was introduced at the Chicago Auto show, I remember the buzz about how it really captured the original design while still looking modern (sound familiar)? It then caused Chrysler and GM to create their own retro them designs with the Challenger and Camaro respectively.

2010 - 2015 (Still S197) - There was some tweaking to make smooth out the lines a bit more and make it maybe a bit less blocky. A lot of passionate debate at the time pro and con over the minor restyle. IMO, still recognizable as a Mustang, but also different than the previous generation. The second picture is a 2011 GT California special I owned.

2015 - 2023 (S550) - From a mechanical perspective a bit more of a redesign since they went from rear live axle to IRS. The second picture is my current Roush Mustang, and while Roush did tweak the fascia a bit, the new generation design elements are still there and it's even a further departure from the 2005, but still recognizable as a Mustang.

2024 - Present (S650) - In my opinion subtle tweaks and a bit less curvy. Again, still recognizable as a Mustang. Biggest changes were to the interior where they departed from the double hump dash that went all the way back to the original and went with two large screens across the dash.

In my opinion, as much as I appreciated each evolution, the 2005-2009 was the truest homage to the original.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ford take a similar approach to the Bronco.

If they had did that in 2021 when I ordered I would not have ordered one. My personal feel is that the square headlight ruin the look just as in did in the originals .

My first reaction was ewww, but it sure makes the round lights look dated.
