Plastic. Only BD and BL start with the capable steel.

The modular is definitely the looker here, but the only rear bumpers that are worth getting are the steel ones only offered on the BD and BL’s. The other plastic rear’s on the other models are deal killers IMO. Nobody else cares?

I'm getting the Base. I wasn't going to get the HD bumper because I thought I would be able to find an aftermarket one. So far all of the aftermarket bumpers I've seen cost a lot more than the HD.

Are there any drawbacks to getting the HD, or is it just that many people on this site don't like the looks of it? Thanks

Here's looking at you @Someshoes ;)
