Please let me know how the install went and how things lined up with the bottom plate. One thing is that standard bumpers have the tow hooks below the bumper so how does that look with a capable bumper installed?

Will you just sell me the hooks. Someone can put the Ford Performance ones in it if they want. I would like the original.

I’m somewhat in the middle/on hold with this process. I have the set of steel bumpers from someone else’s Badlands trim. The giant speed bump I’ve encountered is the sensor holes for steel require specific parking sensor retainer housings my standard bumper isn’t compatible with.

1. Cut your tow hooks off or find intercooler mounts from steel bumper broncos.
2. Take the innards apart to run the wiring correctly and tie them back up.
3. Sensor mounts if they are not included.

The rear bumper also requires sensor mounts

I know this is an old post, but will the fog lights for the plastic bumper fit the capable bumper?

Thank you. I have the opportunity to buy a capable bumper but it doesn't have the fog lights. This will help.

I'm selling my Diode Elites if interested. They are amber and have backlighting. I went with a winch bumper so I don't need them anymore. They are much brighter than factory and have a very good cutoff line.

I bought a capable bumper and then resold it. I could not get over the gap between the top of the bumper and bottom grille.

Is that how they all look or a result of going from standard to capable??

Standard you don't notice the gap because of the rubber gap piece that fills it in...looks good. But the capable has the gap and no filler so make sure you are OK with it. That is why M&R makes a lightbar that fits in the gap. You know the gap is significant if a lightbar fits. Just my opinion, good bumper but the gap was just not for me.
