All, Wanted to see if anyone has had the following issue where, sometimes not all the speakers work from one start up to another. I have a 24 Everglades and every so often some speakers will not work at all. I turn it off, turn it back on and they will all work again. There are also times where the sound will be completely different from time to time even with the same song playing.... It's almost as if the sub is out here and there..... please keep in mind this was all with the factory speakers. I did replace the 4 x 4"s this past weekend and they all continue to work all the time but today, it was as if the sub was off again..

Sounds like a wiring issue.

I did find a thread this morning that talks about it being a carplay issue for the speakers but no one seems to have ever noted issues with the fractory sub..... I guess ill be taking that panel off to see if there is anything i can diag myself LOL!

If you suspect CarPlay, then I’d first try to replicate the problem with a different audio source, like the radio.

So Sync, at best, I would say is "glitchy", and it can be really hard to differentiate between software and hardware issues sometimes.

A few things to try:

You can "reboot" Sync without shutting off the entire vehicle - hold the Radio Power + Fast Forward buttons together for about 10 seconds. The touchscreen and radio will reboot and come back up. Can do this while the vehicle is on and/or driving. This "fixes" most Sync glitches.

If you have a good code scanner or Forscan, see if there are any DTC codes set in the ACM or APIM. Hardware issues will usually set a code that requires a reset, and can point you in the right direction.

On the sub, there have been reports from people who have had it cut out (but other speakers work fine), if you turn the volume up loud enough, you can get it to turn back on (then you can take the volume back down). This could indicate a failing subwoofer amp or a failing speaker itself. It could be a problem with the wiring as well, but I haven't seen that as a reported cause to date.

There have also been reports where specific multiple speakers (one entire side, like the left channel is gone, or the rear channel is gone) - those are usually due to a failing ACM or B&O module - but it could also be a wiring issue as well.

If you are using wireless Carplay/Android Auto, try switching to Wired (you need to disable "Wireless App Projection" in Sync to ensure it uses the USB cable, otherwise it's very likely to just use the cable to charge and then continue to use the wireless protocol)

Also, what @HalfmuleFarmer says is good to try too - if it cuts out with FM or SXM, that helps narrow down the issue too.

Thank you For the input!

There are a bunch of complaints of this. My Bronco will randomly do it as well.
I posted in a previous thread about this but they are apparently working on an update to the ACM. The reason the sub/ other speakers aren’t working properly is that there are permanent DTC codes stored in the ACM that can’t be cleared. Even replacing all the speakers, sub, or amp won’t fix it.
They said the update was supposed to be announced Q2 of 2026 but nothing so far. I’m assuming a ton of resources are being poured into the current wiring harness recall.

I’ve lost left ch front/rear a few times in the past. Power on off corrects it. I only use CarPlay. Switch to the radio when it happens. If all works fine and going back to CarPlay is not. It might be CarPlay related. If all is fine when going back to CarPlay, it might just be the switching of sources resetting the issue.
