JBL soundbar sound lacking bass

Hey all

I had the JBL soundbar installed today. I like it a lot, gets plenty loud, and does not block rear view nearly as much as you’d think.

However, I found that there is shockingly little bass. I feel like the flash must not have been correct.

Does anyone else have this issue with it? How does it sound to you?

Asking since it wasn't mentioned, but was the ACM Software Updated as well during the install?

It was flashed, so they said, and I even went back to check if it was done correctly.

They swear it was and that even the tech wondered why there wasn’t much low end. But with 4, 4” drivers it really ought to thump

I wouldn't think that bass will be coming from the sound bar, that is what the sub is for. You should be getting good mids and highs though.

I would check if the soundbar polarity is wrong.

I have the JBL bar and notice the low end is lacking also but it does add more to the mid and high.I have a powered sub i'm going to try next.

I wouldn't expect much bass from 4" drivers. I would look into a powered sub. The Kicker hideaway subs are pretty compact.
