Yea I read that somewhere. I’m gonna take that bracket and use it as a base to make fab some other solution. We’ll see how it buffs out

I'm shopping pretty hard right now for a front bumper, looking for what will get me:
  1. Winch Compatible
  2. No-change or an increase in approach angle
This bumper is on my list as a possible candidate, but it's really difficult to tell from the photos whether it's high and tight enough to accomplish my desires for approach angle. Seeing it in person, what's your opinion?

I don’t have numbers on the approach angle, but it looks to me like it has a better angle vice stock. I haven’t had the time to go over some more vertical faces, but from what I’ve done so far I haven’t had any issues.

Interesting...I was told by JCR that the top of the bumper sticks out about 8" from the bottom of the grill, but you think that it slopes away fast enough that at the point of the bottom of the stock bumper it's as tucked if not more?

Thanks for being an early adopter so that people can ask questions that photos just can't answer! You're doing a great service haha

it definitely sticks out farther, for sure, but in my opinion that slope is aggressive enough to not be an issue. Admittedly I’m no pro off-roader, so I’m sure you can find a dissenting opinion out there.

How bad would it be to install the winch afterwards, still waiting on mine. Or is it easier to do it all at once like you did?

It’s easy enough. I installed the bumper one night and the winch the next morning. The panel underneath that says ‘JCR’ just unbolts and you can get to the winch bolts. No sweat, the hardest part was fishing around for the darn cables.

Thanks for the quick reply, guess I’ll do the same. Bumper should arrive Thursday and want to put it on.

I have the mid, no front sensors
Ok, your install will be easy then. My sensors weren’t hard by any means, just took some playing with to get things lined up right

They have a new bracket now that makes it work in this bumper.
