I have a 7/26 build week.

2 dr BB 2.3 MT with sig lighting and rear locker added

From what I've seen, I think higher packages (mid, high, lux) may be holding things up, in addition to squatch/WT, 2.7, and tow. I also think the MICs are a bigger constraint on the 4 door. My theory is, ford may have prioritized 2 door mics since another factory option wasn't even available. But, this is all speculation.

I kept my build simple, I have very little intention of doing any serious off-roading/rock crawling. Just need a vehicle that can handle Michigan winters and getting me to the occasional remote camping spot.

The simplicity seems to have paid off.

I agree. It seems the simpler builds have priority, also the 2d variant probably helped.
