Mopar had just that as well. Fob that went into a slot as if it was a key. It was kind of the first transition from keys to fobs to what we now have today with push button. The area that has the red triangle on it was imbedded in the slot on the dash and rotated to start.Nice! But what would REALLY make sense would be if Ford made a slot for the key in place of the idiotic start button. And then you rotated the key to start the car! That way, you wouldn’t have to find a separate place to put the key. It seems so logical that it’s hard to believe that no one ever thought of that! Whoever thought of a start button should be sent to Siberia with only a Speedo IMHO. I think the push button start is one of the dumbest ideas ever to make its way into a vehicle.
