I replaced the 4” dash speakers and got a huge difference. Will I get a big jump again if I replace the 6.5” door speakers? Are they trash like the dash speakers or are they ok?

What speakers did you install in the dash?

General consensus has been that replacing the kick panels without an amp will not gain any benefits - but the 4" dash and roll bar speakers will definitely make a difference.

I'm planning for the 3 dash speakers and roll bar as well as a sub upgrade - will wire it so that if I want to add an amp later for the sub - it's simple clip and connect without having to take the rear panel off again.

If you do replace them, do so with a decent quality midwoofer. Installing a 2 way speaker could actually degrade your sound (ask me how I know) . I’d also second not doing it unless you do an amp. At very least do the Kicker key 200.4 with plugnplaykits.com harness

I put an Alpine component speaker in that area. So nice bass, with a tweater up top.

I used the same speakers, and the 6.5" version for kick panels and upgraded pods. I did have to cut a hole in the mabett pod covers to make them fit, because the tweeter on the 6.5's sticks out too far.

I like the sound from them and they aren't an expensive speaker or need a ton of power.
