I dremel'd the stock enclosure and fit a Kicker CompR 8'' in the space - but at full power I strongly believe it's over-powered for the available air volume so I'm getting a sympathetic vibration at certain frequencies.

Ordered the Kicker 6.75'' 4ohm version that should come in today and I'm going to swap it out to see if that's the issue.

B&O uses a 4 Ohm dual voice coil woofer. Standard 7-channel uses a 2 Ohm dual voice coil woofer.

It won't break if you use the incorrect ohm, but best if you can match it up.

You don't need to dremel the B&O enclosure at all to fit a Kicker 8". You just need to remove the kicker beauty ring from the front perimeter of the speaker. There is also a very small centering tab on the bottom of the enclosure that needs trimming but the can be done with a simple xacto knife.

The Kicker Comp R 8" dual voice coil 4 ohm fits just fine and when wired in parallel will run at 2 ohms and mated to a kicker key 500.1 at 300 watts is absolutely a perfect replacement. I am thrilled with my setup even with top and doors off.

This is true for B&O enclosure. The standard 7-channel you do need to cut the opening a bit wider to fit an 8”.

Odd they used a different speaker and enclosure but the same sized speaker. I wonder if there are other differences, like volume or port size

I had every intention of swapping my 6.75" stock woofer for a Kicker 6.75". But I'm also bi-amping the front four speakers with a Kicker 200.4, and I already added coaxial Memphis 6.75" speakers to the back, with larger pods.

BTW, the stock woofer for a 2025 Heritage (7 speaker setup) is 110W, 2 Ohm and is run in parallel (2+ 2- connectoins) for 1 Ohm total. The speaker itself sounds great, looks great, and is pretty much the same weight as the Kicker. If I upgrade, it will be to something mounted on the tailgate, and I want to see if there's a difference after Forscan. Anything larger than a 6.75" mounted in the stock location needs to go through a 6.75" plastic vent. I can't square that circle.

Last, once the front speakers are set up, Forscan is run (you can see the numbers below), and the Memphis coaxials are set up, I'll have a better idea of how much woofer I'll need.
