This is weird one. I finally replaced the garage wrangler tires with k02’s(same size 35’s), but now I am rubbing on my uca at full lock. I’m currently running an icon stage 7 kit. Anyone else have this issue?

I’m having trouble looking for a good set of wheels for what I want. I want hub centric 17” x 8.5 wheels with 0-12 offset that will eliminate some of the added weight of the k02’s since they are about 10 pounds heavier. Mainly for some mpg assistance and the weak steering rack.

My biggest issue is that I also need strong wheels since I wheel it pretty hard fairly often. I know, weight=strength in most cases, but I can’t believe there isn’t a mild compromise. I’m almost debating on trying some 1/2” wheel spacers, but really don’t want to. Any suggestions?

Yup, that's weird. What is your current wheel offset?

What wheels do you have right now and how much lift is your Icon set at?

I have the stock sas wheels. I used what the icons were set at out of the box, a little over 2” higher than stock.

Cheap way out add a 1" wheel spacer, that'll get within few mm of 0 off set.

You could get away with some small spacers to move the tire out away from the body a bit, but would recommend a set of wheels over a spacer if possible.

There's tons of options out there, most being able to hold up to what you are doing with it.

Some popular brands are Method, Black Rhino, Raceline, DirtyLife, KMC, Icon (if you want to match your wheels to your lift)

I really don’t want to add spacers since I beat on it often. There are a handful of wheels out there that I can save weight and get 0 offset, but I don’t know anything about the integrity of aftermarket wheels, only hear horror stories. Looking for a set under 30 pounds.
Also not interested in a long travel dd again.

I looked at aftermarket wheels and there were few options that are lightweight. My personal favorites were the RTR Evo 6 in 17" (~23lbs) and someone on here posted recently about a Black Rhino Rapid 17 x 8.5 0 offset wheel that weighed 23 lbs. I don't know how these wheels will hold up to hard off roading though.

Most of the aftermarket wheels ares around 23-26 lbs which save a lot over the stock Sas wheels. I have the ProComp 17x9 with -6 offset and with the 37" BFG KO2's are almost the same weight as stock Sas wheels/tires. 0 offset will tuck in a little better and +6 to +12 would probably work best. I don't think there is a strength issue with aftermarket wheels and a lot of them are probably a lot easier to clean than the Sas wheels. I'm running about 2" over Sas as well.

I’ve been really happy with my Brink wheels, someone recommended them in another forum

https://brinkwheels.com/

I got the B301 Alpine, 0 offset, and I love how they look, and have held up great on dirt/rocks
