Just thinking about replacing the Rhinos with a different set of Rhinos...you might be able to merely change the step and not the brackets!!!!! They are a bitch to install and if the new ones use the same ones....easy change out. Check with their folks to be sure.

Why are they so hard to install? I am leaning towards these, but this is the second time you have mentioned how hard the Rhino boards are to install.

I do not know all about it, but I know some about it….. I had both my knees done at the same time about a year ago. On my 4 x 4 vehicles I use Amp power steps and on the other vehicle, I use rock slider engineering power steps.

R/K TKR at the same time ... impressive. I had a R/L ACL repair at the same time (bad idea for me), but my R/L TKRs were 6 weeks apart (much better). Glad that is over.

Yea, this is the direction I'm heading I think.

As fast as the step-stool suggestion, no, this isn't temporary. I no longer have a right knee joint at all, and I'm not gonna be growing one back. I've learned how to drive with my left foot. Like I said, 1%-3% of the time, these go TKAs go horribly horribly wrong.

I didn't find them to be a bitch to install, step-son and I did the swap in around an hour IIRC.

Get a set of takeoff Bronco Raptor or standard Bronco rock sliders with removable steps. I have a 21 badlands Sasquatch with 2 inches of lift and 37 inch tires and the top of the step is at 17 inches. So if you’re on 35 inch tires with no lift on your bronco the top of the step should be at 14 inches. The great thing about them is they are a lower step, but if you are going to off-road, the steps are easily removable, the step itself is extremely lightweight, and you still have the rock slider for Protection.

You need three hands, at least. You're doing a blind connection...you have to line up three things at once....2-3 times..
