Install the base here, one on the left and one on the right, with double-sided tape on the back of the base

Align the grooves at both ends of the main rod with the original car screws

there are springs at both ends, shrink the springs when installing, and after the original car screws are inserted into the grooves at both ends, the springs at both ends are stretched outward to complete the fixation.

It's vinyl or fabric, right? It keeps honest people honest, and that's good, but it's like a tonneau on a pickup, I'd rather have them flip it open than cut it to see what's under it.

Personal I'd like to see the hard cover with reinforcement so that you can also store light items on top when you're out camping.

get a 2'x4' piece of plywood or MDF, cover it how you like, sits right on top of the ledges on either side of the cargo area in a 4 door Bronco. It does not extend all the way to the tailgate. You can secure it if you want with brackets. Also could add some sort of secured lift door at the open end close to tailgate. I found this idea by searching "rear shelf for 2021 bronco" on Google. Found a post on thebronconation.com where someone did this and has pics. I added mine last night and is great.

Awesome! I’d be totally in for something like this if you make it for the 2dr. I think this would be a big seller and you’d have a lot of interest in it. It would be awesome if it was even made out of a higher quality polymer or aluminum material, with brackets that secure it into the factory hard top bolt/mounting locations. Perhaps it could be made with a few interlocking panels with the rear most ending up under the tailgate lip when the tailgate is closed. Th3 interlocking panels would allow for easier packaging/shipping.

Bonus - An optional panel that attaches (on the seat side) and goes from the cover to the floor attaching to the rear floor mounts. This essentially would add some reasonable security and turn it into an enclosure. This would prevent someone from putting the seat down to access the cargo area.
