I'm hoping this will be the perfect pairing for the start of my mini 2 door overlander.

Ecoflow Delta 3 plus, Dometic cfx5 35 fridge, and Renogy 400 watt solar blanket.

That’s more than a start! That’s enough battery to run that fridge for days

You might want to add the EcoFlow alternator charger to fast charge the Delta 3 while on the move. For trips where you are exploring trails and not staying parked at a campsite, the alternator charger is more than enough.

Do you think the 12 volt aux port in the back won't be enough to keep the Delta topped up? I'm testing the system at home right now, it seems the Dometic only draws 8 watts average once it reaches temp and the alternator puts out 100 watts when driving.

I thought about getting that alternator charger, but its expensive and im thinking about adding a second Renogy 400 watt panel (for 800 watts total solar) or getting the charger. Im eventually also planning on adding the Openroad peak RTT with a 200 watt panel on top. Which do you think would be more useful?

Thanks!

Nice! Beware - the back DC port in the bronco is bad. it easily melts. I run - Back Console AC > ANKER > DC > ICECO. The Anker will recharge itself when driving, and will power the fridge when stopped. Plug in your solar When need to top off for longer stops/stays.

I installed Bluetti charger one. As of now I don’t think I need to have solar. Even if I’m camped in one spot for a few days, all I have to do is start the truck for a short time to provide some juice to my power station.

the nice thing about the Ecoflow Alternator (or Bluetti or any DC to DC really) is that it will charge up your Delta if the sun is not out. having 800 watts of solar is nice but if I were in your shoes, I would keep just the 400 watt solar and spring for the Alternator as that gives you another way to charge up the Delta much quicker then trying to off the dc plug in the rear.

Also keep in mind that watt usage will be different for a fridge in the back of a hot bronco than in the house at room temps.

Plenty of good advice mentioned previously. I've seen enough examples of the cargo outlet melting even charred. I don't trust the OEM outlets. When you install the EF AC, you'll wrangle the thick wire through the firewall grommet. No concern whatsoever with the EF AC -> Delta 2.
