That MMR housing is next on my list to replace the factory housing. There’s no way I’m trusting a made in China part with unknown materials. MMR is a good brand and they build modular Ford race engines.

Hello,

Is anyone using the MMR oil filter canister on the 2.7? Or is there another option, like the aluminum one on Amazon, that is a direct replacement for the plastic one, which broke the first time I changed the O rings?

Just installed the MMR. Solid fit, significantly sturdier than the OEM housing.

Swapping out the inner stem takes a gentle hand. Be careful not to break one of the 4 tabs that holds it in the housing. (ask me how I know). Only thing I question was the 120ft lb noted to tighten it to. But Taylor at MMR confirm that was the right torque.
