All:
Just want to know if anyone has installed lights (not the LED strip) along with the TrailRax roof rack. I am considering installing KC or Baja Design but cannot find mounts for them to attach to the TrailRax.

We've got lots of options for you of course!

What are the measurements from slot to slot

Would love to see some pics of what you have done here with either KC Pro6 or the Baja Designs linkable. Any installs on this rack you have pics of?

We've not installed one. That's why I'd need to know the measurements.

The "we've got lots of options for you" threw me off.

We do. I need to know the measurement so I can point you in the right direction of what fits.

Spoke to TraikRax.

Spoke to TrailRax. It is 47.5 inches.
47.5" is a strange size to work with... Most bars are 40", 50", etc... and would require about that for mounting (a 40" bar would need anywhere from 40-42" of mounting space).

But 47.5 is in between. Our Linkable kit could work since we make our own brackets and you're adding on support structures anyway.

Then these should fit

Baja Designs LP4 Linkable by KR Off-Road Light Bar Kit (7 Lights)

But I believe if you want to utilize those mounting holes you may have to extend a bracket or make something up since light bars don't come in that size.

What does that roof rack manufacturer recommend for a light bar up there with that strange width?

Is there a reason you didn't order their rack with the 40" bar cut-out??

Just to clarify, the distance between those mount points on the horizontal sides of the rails is 46" (I just measured this on my TRMR rack). The cross bars' length are 47.5".

Any 40" light bar should work with the cutout wind deflector, I'd imagine the same can be said for linkable kits with similar dimensions. For reference, I have the Baja Designs light bar installed and it fits within the cutout when mounted to the cross bar behind the deflector. The width of the cutout in the deflector is 42-3/8", so there's some wiggle room to play with. Hope this helps.

The picture is very helpful!! I assumed that only light bars will fit in the cutout but as long as there is good clearance on top other string lights should work. Thanks a bunch again!!

Did you get it with the cut-out? Your photo showed no cut-out...
