I got this sad email today with no details. I was schedule for production this week with my 2.7 OBX Sasquatch 4-door Soft-top. Any specific ideas why it’s still sliding? I see new folks walking in on the 6G forum getting dates right away. Anyone else getting these after getting a Production date?
so sad I’m starting to consider getting the New Tundra if it pushes out further instead, as my current car is barely hanging together.

It seems like they moved a big majority of 10/4 builds to 11/1. It’s strange the way it worked…hopefully 11/1 isn’t just a dumping ground for builds moved out and that the week sticks.

A bunch of us that started in the 9/27 group got pushed to 10/25 or 11/01. Not sure why. Seems like until you see that it’s in transit you can’t really be certain it’s actually delivery date. Ask the folks still with builds on Dirt Mountain

I was 9/27 got bumped to 11/8... Started losing my excitement until I drove by a dealership and saw a couple of bronco mannequins. This thing is going to be worth the wait!

Yeah that is my main concern. Seems like the last builds you can do and deliver in ‘21.

If you don’t mind some venting frustration in my reply, having worked in supply chain, One should never quite a date unless you are sure. It’s worse to have changing dates than a for sure date you can hit. No one complains about a date pulling up. Ford doing this they are deliberately stringing customers along with a bit of FOMO. It’s a game of chicken that I think Ford going to lose with “new” customers.

I am not a Ford fan typically, the last Fords I had were a ‘97 Escort It fell apart in 4 years then an ‘01 Focus that did the same. After that I said never again. I am not a fan of disposable cars.

This was Ford’s chance for redemption for me and they are failing.

My cars since have all had superior durability so I already feel like that is a risk. The towing capacity has always been borderline issue too as my boat just makes it.

The Tundra with that new Pano roof and roll down back window is sure looking good for that open air feeling I want, durability and better tow. The Bronco just looks cooler doing most of that yet “all that glisters is not gold.”

I did this too but they had none!
Thanks for looking to the bright side.

I want to sit in a 4-door. I got to see a 2-door months ago when it was on tour but I’m still not a a for sure buy as I am 6’3” and hit my head on the Wrangler B pillar. I barely fit the 2 door with hard top, I need to see the headliner and soft top too.

I'm 6'5" and fit the 4-dr fine, but the electric seats give more adjustability and room by lowering the seat. There is no B pillar overhead on the Bronco, I cannot fit in a Jeep without smashing my head, and the Jeep seat wont lower enough, and has no electric option. The electric seat on Bronco is a $2100 option and only on 4dr OBX, BL, WT in leather. I have not been able to check the manual seats.

The production date is not a promise, just a plan. I had 4 date changes and then, once built in July, it disappeared to Purgatory for a new roof that will be installed this month. The easiest thing is to change expectations to end of year delivery, and realize Ford is not alone as a car manufacturer. With a VIN, it has to be built in 2021! Its a unique vehicle, but only you can decide if its worth waiting for . . . IF you can find something else. I'm fine with waiting.
