MY’23 misbuild front plastic vs. steel bash plates gets a “Customer Satisfaction Program”

My dealer replaced the misbuild plastic bash plates with steel not long after I took delivery, some dealers weren’t so inclined, glad Ford stepped up. (MY’23 Base w/Sasquatch got misbuild)

I had been working with my Dealer on this issue, and they had not gotten anything done yet, but got the letter today!

My dealer was very receptive when I called about the plastic plate. They immediately ordered the replacement. A month or so later the plate set came in, and they installed them in a couple of hours.

I was surprised to get a full set of steel plates. I was under the impression that only the front plate should have been included as that's what Ford's description said. The full set was a nice bonus.

It’s a two piece engine bash plate, front stays in place, back is loosened for oil change.

Perhaps, but what I received was a four plate set. The same set sold on Ford accessories for nearly a thousand.

Our '23 OBX SAS came with all steel and we got the letter too. You would think it would say "If" it was built with plastic bring it to your dealer but it's worded like all are affected, clearly not.

I got the same thing they even got me the one for the gas tank!

Yup. Got a letter a couple of days ago, but mine was taken care of back in June.

I had been working with my Dealer on this issue, and they had not gotten anything done yet, but got the letter today!
