Great photos! I just did I god chunk of this trip myself in September. I'm jealous you were able to take the hike to Delicate Arch! Mesa Verde is under appreciated in my opinion. Really awe inspiring to see those 1000 year old buildings built by hand.

Iā€™ve been on somewhat of a National Parksā€™ vision quest for the last five years and have now been to 47 out of our 63 NPs. Iā€™ve managed to get to all of the parks in the lower 48, west of the Mississippi.
The west offers a lot of bang for the buck and I re-visited 7 parks in June with my recent, college-graduate daughter. And yes, we did road-trip in the Bronco.
Elephant Hill Road in the Needles section of Canyonlands and White Rim Road in the Islands in the Sky section of Canyonlands afford some great off-roading and hiking opportunities in parts of the park where access is limited.
I have visited many of these parks by myself. Unfortunately, my wife is not as passionate about the great outdoors, but this hasnā€™t stopped me. My motto, is that ā€œany day youā€™re hiking in a National Park is a good day.ā€
Congratulations on a great trip and an impressive run. Iā€™m guessing that was Bright Angel that you ran down and back up.

That's awesome!!!

My route was running down South Kaibab to Phantom Ranch and then back up Bright Angel.

This was my 4th Grand Canyon run...previously did R2R and R2R2R twice. R3 put a lot of hurt on me both times, but I absolutely loved it.

Unfortunately, my marathoning days are behind me. But I did hike S. Kaibab down and back one Summer morning. That was about as tough as any of the 10 marathons I did.
R2R2R is next level. Awesome run and time!

OK, wow. I have my BRaptor sitting in Denver and listed it for sale after an equally long but less spectacular solo (mostly) trip. I'm totally rethinking based on this. Thanks for sharing the map!

2,291 miles of smiles...10 day, solo road trip.

Hit the road and enjoyed the National Parks of the Grand Circle (it's 8 National Parks in a big loop, but I modified and visited 5 and a few other places). I took a detour to spend a little time at Forrest Gump Point (Monument Valley), where Forrest Gump decided to stop running and turned around. Also spent a couple of days in Las Vegas and caught the MECUM Auto Auction. (it was also cool to see the F1 layout for the race...it's gonna be awesome) I ended up visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, Mesa Verde NP, Grand Canyon, Zion NP, and Canyonlands NP. Ran 16 miles in the Grand Canyon (Rim down to the Colorado and back up to the Rim). Also had the Bronco on Shafer Trail, just outside Moab.

I had no itinerary and basically winged this trip. Had a map template, but did my own thing. Great way to take a road trip!

Here are a few photos I took...enjoy!

Looks like it was an awesome trip! What park was your favorite out of the 5 that you visited?

After looking back, I realized I went to 6 NPs. lol Out of the 6, my fav was Zion National Park. I was blown away by the natural beauty. It's the one park that I want to go back to and spend a few days exploring.

Wow, your pictures are beautiful. What an amazing trip. I have always wanted to that. We are planning a National Parks trip in September. After seeing your beautiful pictures we might add a few parks. Getting a tailgate tent can't wait.
