Have had this trip in the works for nearly nine months now, and finally got to take it with a few good friends, road tripping and camping the whole way up. After a week of driving, nearly 2400 miles through hailstorms, smelly sulfur-scented mudpots and unruly mobs of yellowjackets (thanks southern Utah!) I can say that I can't wait until the next one.

First stop, take the side road rarely taken along the 89a north of the Grand Canyon, passing the Vermillion Cliffs:

Camping in Zion, with a few gratuitous drone shots, and a visit to Big Bend itself

Heading on further up, a stop in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah and then the Grand Tetons. Yes, I had members of my party that did not actually know what Grand Tetons means.

Looks like a great time. What model Toyota is that? Does it have a lift gate and drop down tailgat?

Beautiful. An experience you'll never forget!
it was a good one, for sure. My friends and I plan one solid road trip per year where we just leave the families at home and go off with no plan and see what happens.

Year one was the entire Pacific Coast Highway from LA to Portland:
Ford Bronco Phoenix->Zion->Grand Tetons->Yellowstone Road & Camping Trip in Bronco Big Bend 1663079933038

Year two was Yosemite and the redwood forests:

Ford Bronco Phoenix->Zion->Grand Tetons->Yellowstone Road & Camping Trip in Bronco Big Bend 1663080160691

we had managed to roll through Yosemite on a rainy tuesday with damn near nobody else in the park at all, which took it from a cool trip to an utterly epic trip almost instantly. When we came back through yosemite 3 days later on the way home, we couldn't even find a place to park, much less an empty park to take pictures of.

Yep, it's a LC200, with the drop down tailgate, pretty sure he's on Icon stage 5(?) suspension on it and it's.....NICE.

How did you get permission to use a drone in a National Park?
