"Navigation is not functioning properly." error message

Has anyone had issues with their navigation not working. I was in the middle of a drive when mine failed. It was still giving audio prompts but the screen looked like this.. After shutting the vehicle down completely and restarting, it did resolve but I don't know for how long.
