New shift boot

Got the wife a green leather boot with neon stitching.

It’s a lot tighter than the stock one but I’m hoping it’ll stretch a bit. I’d like it about half as taut, the stock is way too sloppy.

looks nice. Where did you get it? I am Looking to get one from redline goods. How was the install?

It’s from redline. Install not horrible but the new leather is a lot thicker so refitting is a bit more finicky and it’s easy to get twisted up with direction of material when everything is inside out.

Does it seem to be good quality leather they used?

Yes, probably 3x thicker than factory. Probably seat thickness and grade.

Redline is great, haven't ordered one for the bronco but I've used them on all of our manual transmission cars in the past. They're made in poland and the quality, detail, etc is great

Just ordered one a few days ago and look forward to getting it. It's funny, the install instructions make it sound like you need a degree from MIT to put it on. I have done a lot of installing and wrenching on this thing over the past year so I am sure it will be super easy, but the instructions don't exactly instill confidence.

How did you get the shift knob off?

There’s screws in the front bottom and then it kinda pulls up.

The 2 screws under the shift boot towards the dash ? No springs to worry about flying out from the push button once removed ?
