New trend? Painting door handles in bright contrasting color

Yesterday, I saw an A51 Bronco with all 5 door handles painted a bright orange color. Looked pretty bad. Thought it was a one off but later in the day, saw a Jeep with the same look. Is painting your door handles with a bright contrasting color the new trend?
