We're going bronco crazy over here with the anticipation of receiving the all new intercooler setup from Whipple Superchargers for our First Edition Bronco. These will fit both the 2.7L and 2.3L as a direct replacement for the factory intercooler. This is the last piece we've been waiting on to complete the Whipple Stage 1 upgrade kit.

Ford shows the intercooler being the same for both the 2.3L and 2.7L. The Whipple one will be the same as a direct bolt-in replacement.

Sorry, you are right. Intercooler is in the same place, it must be some other cooler that the 2.7 is putting in the way of the hidden hitch. Maybe power steering or oil?

I'm not quite sure on that one as I haven't looked closely at the engine diagram for the 2.3L compared to the 2.7L. Once I get a chance to look into it I'll be glad to let you know what I find out.

Our intercooler should be here today so we'll be sure to take more pics before we start the install.

Scared? Not at all.

The cores come from China. They are sourced and purchased through a US company and assembled / welded here in the US. Very similar to the stock intercooler on the 2020+ GT500 except those are actually fully assembled over in China where they are then shipped here to be used to build the car at the Ford plant.

It's ok if you're out due to that. However you do realize how many parts on the Bronco you purchased are from China too? Did that hold you back from purchasing it?

It fit fine with mine, it's behind and below the intercooler if you got the hidden winch mount.
