Hey Yall,
Long time lurker, recent recruit and realized I never did an introduction.
My wife and I had been watching the broncos since they were re-introduced, but i have secretly always loved the gen 5's ever since my brother got one in highschool. Both of us loved the new ones, but the markups became a serious gatekeeper. The plan all along was for each of us to have one.
Fast forward to July of last year. We traded our 2019 durango in on a 2021 big bend area 51 for my wife. At the time, we werent sure how much trail riding and general offroading we would be doing, so it was (and still is) fine.
It was already lifted 2" with 315/70 k02s, suuuper clean underneath as if it had never been offroad, and just a bit of sand in the carpet from being traded in from the pensacola FL area.
We tooled around, pulled the doors off, etc, for a few months, and thoroughly enjoyed having it. Then.. playing around on the internet, i found mine out in Tulsa.. a nicely optioned 2021 badlands sasquatch. Race Red was one of my last choices, but you couldnt pry it from my cold dead hands now.
Again, super fresh and clean, zero offroad usage.. The previous owner from northern texas bought this one to fill the gap while his Wildtrak order was being built. His loss, my gain.
It didnt take long for us to really start playing.. Doors off, top down, and enjoying life together.
As a late birthday present, I got a new bumper to replace the modular on mine, then swapped the modular over to my wife's...
And the story goes on from there, exploring the ozarks, pushing both of us outside our comfort zones, enjoying each other's company, soaking up nature, and meeting a ton of awesome people along the way..
I will photo dump shortly
