Hey all, I've had my '23 Wildtrak for a few months now and threw on aftermarket wheels/tires very early, so I don't quite remember the OEM SAS/Goodyear experience, but I've pretty much had this very low grade buzz from the steering wheel at highway speeds since day 1. Kicks in around 65-70 mph. I've had two shops rebalance and both of them said the Toyos balanced very easily.

I wouldn't even go as far as to call it a vibration, maybe "enhanced road feedback?" Running Toyo Open Country RT Trails at OEM size which are heavier and quite a bit more knobby than the Goodyears. Car tracks straight and no braking vibration, but I will say if I let go of the wheel at highway speeds you can see a tiny bit of "shake" in the steering wheel. Some highways I can feel it more than others so maybe the Toyos are just super sensitive to road feedback?

Worth taking it to a third shop and maybe ask for a road force balance? I keep seeing people here say their SAS are buttery smooth on the highway so I'm not sure if it's an actual issue or just a consequence of these beefier tires.

Try rotating front to rear. Or did they already do that?

Just did a 5 tire rotation, clockwise and it feels exactly the same as the first day they were mounted.
If that’s the case, seems likely a mechanical vibration. Will be difficult to diagnose unfortunately.
My tires have very aggressive tread but only feel the tread at very slow speeds.

Do you mean you moved each tire 1 spot clockwise? So the left front is now on the right front? Fronts need to go to the rear to eliminate them as a possibility. Also, yes getting a Roadforce balance can detect an issue with a tire that balances fine statically

Are you thinking an issue with the suspension or front end?

Having a 4x4 shop I trust take a look tomorrow.

Correct, had it done with my recent oil change but it wasn't on my radar, re: doing front to back to assess vibration. Good idea, will mention it tomorrow.

If not tires/wheels, Would almost have to be other rotating mass like cv shafts or driveshafts.

Just a quick update: one of the fronts quickly failed a road force balance, was able to be balanced but just moved it to the spare for now.

Everything is super smooth now.
