Not what I would have expected to see in Bavaria.

On vacation and came across this huge number of old army jeeps, must be some club on a tour. Taken at Benedictbeuern Monestary near Kochel am See.
didn’t have much time and didn’t want to disturb the owners enjoying coffee, but snapped a couple of pictures. Not something I’d have expected to see, enjoy.

History has only ever known two types of vehicles that were built and destined to be driven over all types of terrain, in all conditions, and without any concern for the machine or it’s capabilities:

1. The 1941 Willy’s MB “Jeep.”

2. Any rental car.

Did you look closely at the "jeeps" for ford stamped bolts?

I was on the way out, driving family around and late to see other family, didn't have time to look much closer unfortunately. But quite a display of so many old "jeeps", all in pretty good shape and from all over Germany it seemed. Owners all wearing some military camo stuff enjoying their coffee break. So I could only snap a couple pix. I'm not that familiar with the old "jeep" history and who made them, but they sure were fun to see.

After the war, thousands of Willy’s and Ford GPW “Jeeps” were left in the countries they were operating in. If not thrown overboard into the sea.

You don’t expect to see WWII Jeeps in Germany… in Germany?
