Howdy all. I will be in the Largo area for a few weeks. I was wonder if there is a place to run, maybe a beach, or a good off road place. I will be running alone so nothing to complicated.

No place to drive on the beach virtually the entire west coast of Florida. Several places on the east coast though. There is one off roading park probably a hr or so from there but the name of it is escaping me. Florida is flat, so not much in the way of off-roading unless it’s a mud pit

I lived near NAS Jax a bunch of years ago. I used to run Ponta Verda beach, St Augustin beach. I had a Jeep then an F150. I remember the mud pits, I almost lost my Jeep in one.

Thanks
Mike

It’s not “off road” by any stretch but you can drive on the very sandy Dunedin causeway anytime. Take in the gulf, watch the seagulls, grab a brew, judge bikinis, and meet a lot of Jeepers and (hopefully) Bronco owners. Mostly a place to park on the water and take up some sunshine.

Great place to Kayak too. They have rentals and you paddle to Caladesi island in about half hour. At low tide there is a sandbar about 1/4 mile out where everyone parties. I’m there at least once a week. They have great 5g service in that spot so you can work remote there, too. lol.
