Right on and thank you Sir. Yes, my Wife inherited a cabin up in the mountains and I'm at the age where the motorcycling off road is a lot less.

The last year we have been saving for a real 4wd body on frame with low range. So I'm checking out the 4Runner and Bronco forums to see what owners have to say about their rigs and provide input from an "outsiders" point of view. My best friend has owned a few wranglers so I know how they are in capability.

Right now it's a waiting game as I'm not in the position (nor willing) to lay out the cash dealers are getting right now.
If you are remotely interested in a Bronco, and have a dealer you trust, I would suggest making a reservation asap so you can get a spot in line. At this point you are most likely looking at a late 22 and possibly early 23. If you don't have a dealer of choice, I suggest doing a search here for Granger Ford in Iowa, they are probably the closet dealer to you offering below invoice, no strings attached pricing.

I have a Jeep background and my Bronco is hands down a better driving experience. I have yet to take it off road but will report back when I do.

So an update- I called Ford and asked them to check on my order. There is no order, only my reservation for a WT. I told them my dealer “placed” my order on 8/9 but has not received a WBDO/confirmation from Ford. I asked if this was due to the MY22 banks not being open yet or a software issue that was mentioned to my dealer. He said there is a software issue Ford is working on that does currently allow orders to be placed, submitted, confirmed, etc.

Has any other late orderers had this told to them or had any luck getting a confirmed order? I know I’m late 2022 on getting a build but I certainly don’t want to miss a lot of time in line while others jump ahead of me if my dealer is missing something!

odd my dealer reserved mine 8/5 and it showed up in an email the same day.

it hasnt shown on fordpass yet thou.

When orders are changed, a new email confirmation is *not* generated and the Ford.com profile is *not* (typically) updated.

If the incorrect order was submitted initially but they updated it, there is no way the consumer can verify.

The only way is through the dealer supplying a copy of the order.

Many people have already mentioned the DORA. That is the older system. The new system is WBDO.

It is likely your dealer will know what you mean by saying DORA… but if they used WBDO to submit your order, it might be worth while requesting the WBDO Order Summary specifically.

@ollie check out this thread for people who are getting scheduled today.

While reading, remember that most of these people reserved back in July 2020 and were finally able to place their orders in February/March of this year. They have been waiting a long time to get an email with a VIN and build week. And now think that Ford has only scheduled about 10-15% of those who placed an order and realize there are still a bunch of people on the outside looking in. This will give you a better understanding of the mindset on our Forum here. Golden Tickets indeed.

That’s a WBDO… but they’re ostensibly the same thing, and even though people use the acronyms interchangeably, they come from different systems… but WBDO is the new version of DORA… so to answer your question, yes, but not, but yes.

So you late reserved and late ordered about the same time as me, yet you have a code 10 order and I don’t even have a confirmed receipt of order. This is starting to tick me off and wondering on what my dealer is actually doing. I know I’m a long time wait but not being in line while others order and get confirmed is ridiculous.

I did not place a reservation, I just went into the dealer and they put in an order for me. Because of this, I'm guessing that I don't get a reservation number?

I have my WBDO from the dealer, but I have not gotten any emails from Ford. I did try to contact Ford, and they basically said that the order is in order processing & that I need to contact my dealer for more info.

What date did you order and what trim level did you order? If you have a WBDO you’re probably ok as people on here have said that’s a confirmed order.

I've never purchased a car brand new, let alone placed an order for one to be built, so I'm learning as I go!

You're a recent order as well? Nice! I didn't really connect with the Bronco community until after I ordered, so I didn't know much going into it. It seems like many are left in the dark with no light at the end of the tunnel. I was told by the dealer that I'd get a MY21 as long as I got items that are not constrained. Not sure if that'll be the case, though!
