Last night, my wife brought her high end hair straightener/dryer to finish her hair while in parking lot of a restaurant we were going to eat at. I plugged the thing into the outlet behind the console. The dryer would turn on for about 2 seconds and then shut off. I am very surprised the Bronco couldn’t run a bathroom item.

That being said, what’s the point of the outlet? What are y’all running or what have you run on yours?

The point of the outlet is charging devices, not running high wattage shit like a hair dryer, straightener, or idk, soldering iron. I kept my Goal Zero plugged in almost all summer. It powers the fridge and whatever else i need and is kept charged by the outlet. Works perfect. The wattage is stamped right on to the outlet cover and while I don't remember what is off the top of my head it's not a whole lot, and anything which has the sole purpose of creating heat is likely no slouch when it comes to power demands. Gotta check what your device uses before you need it.

I’ve had laptop plugged in and a printer going at the same time with no issues.

hair dryers are typically pulling > 1800 watts!

the brick for my laptop is rated at 60 watts and my baby printer is USB powered from my laptop.

the laptop and printer are tiny loads in comparison

That ā€œbathroom itemā€ requires a ton of amps. Not the fault of the Bronco.

Yeah that’s not the same at all. Hairdryers need like a minimum 2000 watt hour max load power bank to run. In fact hairdryers and microwaves may be the most common item used to test an inverter or power bank to see if it will run everything else you really need it to run.

Interesting. Thanks for the responses. It’s the reason I asked, the knowledge base is good!
