We are in America brother this is one of the the only places I know of where you can 2nd mortgage your house to buy a 4x4 and it's business as usual.
I spent many years in the military defending your right to do so...
But I also have the right to question the logic of it.

But I'm 56 years old....I love the looks (Currently daily drive a 13yr old Toyota FJ Cruiser...and still love it), love the heritage, and I'm gonna add the Sasquatch package just because it looks awesome...

Do I need this truck?...no...can I afford it...Yes...life's to short...get what you want...

Can't wait to throw the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler in the back.

I'm too old to care what crap other people think as I drive to the hardware store.

Never understood the difference between 'need' and 'want', the dictionary says they mean the same thing.
Do I need a glass of water or do I want a glass of water, I am thirsty, so it must be a need or is it a want, or both.

Nothing wrong with that so long as you mount a 50 cal or better on it. I just can't find it listed as an option... might have to go aftermarket

FFL 3 will get you a belt fed weapon as an accessory

Oh good Lord, questioning the logic of people spending on things they want in America? Go to a Marina, look at the boats. Go to a gun range, look at what people are shooting. Go look at any hobby and see how people spend....it's not "logical" to you, because you define that for yourself. Get out of the business of deciding what OTHER people "need" and questioning their logic, because you are in the wrong country for that.

Good point and well articulated with one minor exception I'm not deciding anything for anybody only having a friendly discussion about a vehicle and purchase of available options. I am in the right country for that....correct???

Newsflash...not everyone is hand to mouth and doing what you are suggesting.
