I'm digging that !!I've begged anyone that will listen to make these for us but no takers yet. I realize it's not exactly what you asked for but IMO it's the best solution for overhead storage.
And only $100 for Jeeps so pretty reasonable. (but probably $300 after the Bronco tax is added)I'm digging that !!
That is the concept I'm looking for -- from drivers door to passenger.
Nice job. I have been noodling ideas to do this as well.I wanted to install a mesh-like storage along the top of the Bronco that I could use for extra storage and easily remove. I came up with the following and the total cost was $34, and the color of everything matches with the "MIC/Black" of the interior.
1. Set of D-Rings (need 4): $8
- These are be used to attach the net to the car
- They fit perfectly by using the 8MM bolts that were already in the car. It's the same bolt holes I used for my grab bars.
- I attached the D-rings to the 2nd and 5th bolts.

2. Swivel Snap Hook (need 4): $7
- I needed it to fit a 1" strap and these seemed pretty good.
- I removed the buckle, attached the swivel hook, and then reattached the buckle
- These will attach to the stap of the net and then clip onto the D-Rings that were installed in the Bronco.

3. Mesh Net: $19
- This has some zippers and straps and seems very sturdy.
- It has two small compartments plus the larger middle zipper section, as well as what can fit on top.

Then I simply attached all 4 swivel hooks to the D-Rings that I installed and adjusted the tautness of the straps. I'll eventually cut the extra strap off once I know for sure what the max sag I want (i.e. the most stuff I want to put in it without it hitting my head above).
Here is the large pocket with zipper. There are two smaller compartments in the middle too.
Here the straps are more "loose" so that I'd have more room for jackets and such on the top of the net. It doesn't seem touche anyone's head, but it could limit my visibility with the rearview mirror. I'll have to check that next time.
Here I have straps tighter so that it fits more snug to the top. it shouldn't interfere with the rearview mirror view.
I think they should be "airbag friendly", right?
