So I noticed these black specs on my door last weekend. Definitely not tar or from the road. Can’t catch anything with my nail and nothing changes when I scrub it. Could it be under the clear coat? Is it worth getting fixed? Warranty?

Rail dust. Iron. Looks like general contaminants, a basic detail will remove them. Get some IronX or a ClayBar, some elbow grease and away you go. If that fails to work, perhaps it’s some debris that got under the clear coat - a trip to the dealer for a respray

I agree with getting a rust decontamination spray. You have some serious scratching going on there too. Might want to get that area buffed. Get a good ceramic/graphene spray wax on the whole vehicle for some protection after you fix things.

Yup...clay bar. We get "Salt Rust" specs here in Utah. Brutal on white paint and especially noticeable. Clay bar kit is worth a shot for sure. Good luck!
