21’ Bronco Black Diamond 2.3 with the 7 speed

Came out this morning and the ignition would turn on but the voltage was showing 9.3 volts and it would not start - just click. Couldn’t see anything left on like lights that would have drained the battery but I might have missed something.

Boosted the Bronco off my wife’s car and it started up. However the parking brake sounded like it would disengage but I would get a warning saying brake limited functionality and warningsabout the 4x4 system. Parking brake light was blinking.

is there a way to reset the system or is this likely caused by low voltage?

Did you drive through water recently?

Did the alternator show 13.5-14.5 volts after the Bronco fired up?

Was it just one loud click or the smaller click click click?

The parking brake is electronic (big mistake, Ford).. It does indeed throw error codes when the battery is low. This is the one screw up design wise with the Bronco that I've noticed so far. The E-Brake can fail to an on state and leave you stuck in place until you sort the electrical problems..

I would be more concerned about the battery draining to such a low state. All of the DC/AC power points turn off after ~30 minutes... Not sure what the time out is for the overhead lights, but Ive assumed it was 30 minutes as well.

One loud click and then a series of small, barely audible clicks

Showed 15.2 volts on startup

It did rain pretty hard last night while I was driving but I had no issues. Didn’t drive through any big puddles either.

That's your problem right there, these vehicles are not meant to be waterproof, just water resistant.

Did you ever get this fixed? Mine is exhibiting the parking brake warning only (not the other symptoms) and still drives and starts fine. I tried clearing the dtc in forscan with no luck. Taking to dealer tomorrow.
