Hmm just saw this post and checked my window sticker on my 2022 wildtrak. The window sticker shows perimeter alarm however when I pound on my windows nothing happens. The window sticker also says "Personal safety system". What is that?

Ford's "Perimeter Alarm" is referring to the perimeter formed by the hood, doors, tailgate. If any of those are 'breached' when armed, it will go nuts honking.

Perimeter Plus Vehicle Security System (VSS) is
1) a shock sensor.
2) adds remote start (to automatics only) if you don't already have it.

In the non-Ford world, perimeter alarm means one of the radar systems that goes off based on proximity.
