I'm not happy about the tow points. Doesn't look strong enough to tow the vehicle 4-down using that attachment point. Tow hook points should have the bolt sheer not the thread strip for failure. We shall see, but this will need some modification as it is now before I'm comfortable towing this around.

God, I would hate to have to replace those front diff bushings.... My xk has gone through 2 sets.

Anyone notice the 6 donut rubber isolators on the outboard edges of the frame (5 visable), I assume those are the body mounting points?
Yeah. You drop the body on those pucks.

I got 110 out of originals. 37 out of the replacements. I guess that's not bad.

Those are not 3/4 inch. And the weld better never rust too.
Those bolts look barely over 1/4 inch.
3/8" would have been my guess.... But yeah... Not 3/4''

I'd be ok using 3/8"
Almost 3 times the strength of a 1/4" bolt.

Yea, there was some speculation that the OEM D-Rings might be able to be used - but they mount to that same part you're looking at :-(.

There may be some hope. I'd like to see how this ring is attached:

Fuel tank is on passenger side, but filler on driver side. Interesting.
Guess they learned their lesson from the 1971 Ford Pinto days....
