Not a Baja Kits package, but here’s a couple of pics of my 2DR BB with Kings and billet UCA’s installed. Wheels are 0 offset with 37” KM3’s. It gained about 3.5” of height over the stock susp

I’ll also +1 on Foutz. I installed a few of their parts on my Bronco Raptor and am very happy with it.

The increased length of the LCA in the front improves motion ratio and thus wheel travel. With that increased motion ratio comes increased force at the coilovers. Getting spring rate right is a must. It is a big benefit to have someone with experience help dial that in.

I looked their price is basically half of Bajakits too..
I'm curious how you came up with this? FMI's kit starts higher and increases depending on what extras you add on. Also installation will go up in price depending on those extras as well.

FYI other options you may want to research that haven't been mentioned in this thread are Camburg, Wicked Creations, and Lobo Offroad.

From what I've seen the prices for all of these kits are relatively similar, at least for the base kits.

That must be including the front/rear coilovers and probably all other options.

Bajakits is $4600 for the kit
Foutz is $5800 for the kit

Neither of those include the cost of the kings, another $4000+.

Also to your original question on the thread. Bajakits has a picture of a 2 door on their website, and it is running king shocks as well.

Lurking at this thread I'd like to chime in, this is my build and I have the 3.5" Wicked creations kit not installed yet and i have custom anodized kings on order with Accutune as we speak, only thing i need to figure out is my spring rates to be decided and ordered from Eibach when the coilovers arrive. Kings out of the box are 16" fronts at 550lb im told. Accutune says i need to order 18" 700lb springs for the front, is that too stiff? I have 40s and wont rock crawl, just high speed prerunner stuff. Need it to be like a cloud haha

Like I said earlier in the thread I went with 650s per APGs recommendation….i know they recommend 750 for builds with heavy bumpers/winches so 700 sounds in the ballpark to me….I would start with what accutune recommend and make changes from there….and my springs are 16” springs. 18 sounds long to me but accutune knows a lot more than me about shock tuning than I do.

Agreed.

I have been working on a kinematic model of front suspension. Here is a fairly accurate plot of motion ratios for the OEM LCA and a long travel LCA +3 inches. Notice it is nonlinear, but for 3” long travel You will get about 25% increased wheel travel (2.0/1.6=1.25). So the reaction forces in the shock will go up proportionally, also 25%. So then a 550 lbs/in spring needs to be roughly 675. That is basically where the numbers come from.

Of course it also depends on how much extra weight you are carrying and what you want your ride height to be. Squeezing an 18” spring into a space designed for 16” allows for lots of extra preload and increased ride height. I would definitely defer to accutune but also be very clear on what your additional weight is and where you want your ride height to be.

My current ride height it Sasquatch suspension with 2” perch collars which is usually the same height as an out of the box king set. (Comparing my old 37s and old fenders to other people’s photos with their kings) and now I have 40s and higher clearance fenders so that’s why the wheel gap appears more. I’m okay with my current height because anything more will just make me nervous with cv shaft angles. I did just get a 20mm diff drop but that’s just for added security. I’ll reach back out to Accutune about the added 18” instead of 16” springs on their perspective. I have no added weight with a winch and I have a spare tire delete in the rear.

Wanted to chime in. I went with the EIBACH 18” X 3.0 X 650 LB HD LIFT SPRINGS on mine. Was able to get the lift I had lost due to the further out location the coil springs sit on the 3.5" @wickedcreationsinc long travel kit. Running this with the Stage 8 icon kit, carli double shear steering kit, carli front torsion sway bar w/ baja kits links, limit straps, king triple bypass, and king bumps. running Rock Krawler 4-link on the rear w/ king bumps and icon overland hd springs. Ride's like a dream with this setup.
