The recent snowfall combined with my lovely, new, large driveway means I will seriously be considering getting a plow for my Bronco (squatched).

Anyone have any ideas about plows? I'm assuming anyone that makes one for a Ranger would likely make one for the Bronco.

My neighbor has one on his Jeep but I feel bad with the prospect of asking him everytime it snows.

Plowsite.com. That should be a pretty good rabbit hole.

Looks like the Fisher HS series would be perfect for my needs.

SnowDogg is another popular idea. I've seen a couple SnowDoggs in person. I just feel weird about the modern plows. Not sure why. When I think small plows I think Meyer 2meter that was on my HiLux. The 7' Meyer on my CJ7 was almost too much.

I will definitely look into SnowDogg. The Fisher looks very nice but for $5K I think it should be!

That's another thing. I don't trust short money blades. Also I'm used to Meyer and Fisher. Maybe, just maybe, Western or Boss.

My guess is these suspensions will be SUPER SOFT .... plus the IFS .... any concerns there?

I've never ran a plow, but am currently looking to build out in the sticks somewhere ...could be a possibility at some point.

Before you try and do that, ford has stated that no ecoboost engine should be used for plowing. No even the 3.0 diesel in the f150s. So if you buy one, make sure you can easily remove any trace of it should you have to take the bronco in for an engine issue like noise or something

Before you try and do that, ford has stated that no ecoboost engine should be used for plowing.
Mostly because the plow blocks airflow through the intercooler. Add to that the high-load back and forth driving you'd do in a plow vehicle and you have a recipe for hot hot air inlet temps, which turbo engines do not like.

Secondly is the electrical draw of the plow's hydraulic system. Since power steering is now electric, and also draws significant current, operating the plow and steering simultaneously can lead to a drop in voltage and a reduction in steering assist.

Ford offered a "plow prep" package on the F150 that required the 5.0 V8 and added a switch to turn off heated seats and other electric accessories that would draw down available electric power.

I wouldn’t even consider putting a plow on my Bronco. I’ve owned multiple from full size Westerns to a mini fisher and I’ve only put them on old secondary vehicle pickups.

Interesting feedback enveryone. Thank you!

Sounds like the best option may be to keep my neighbor with a plow stocked up on ammo and beer!
