Yes keep us updated. I have two requests now for them, no drilling for front plate and no etching. Hopefully I can stop it before it starts.

I have the same requests in.

They didn't drill my Mustang for front plate so that was good.

Nick told me a few weeks ago when I was in that they don't add front plates to custom orders unless specifically requested. That being said all it takes is one new hire going rogue thinking he/she is helping :ROFLMAO:

Thanks to the guinea pigs who are going in front of us for laying out us late reservationists plan of action!

They are asking for VIN etching, for $399. As for the front plate mount, I was told it isn't installed unless requested (I'll confirm when I pick it up on Saturday).

Aside from the etching fee, there were no other odd fees or odd amounts. Doc fee is $150, which is is the max in Oregon. Tax and license are as expected (I'm coming from WA).

I'm paying cash, and they already know that. So, I don't expect any issues when picking it up. But, I'll follow up with my experience after picking it up.

Also coming from WA. I assume I'll being paying tax and title when I get back?

Like I said, the etching is less about the cost and more about I don't want my windows marked up. I'm almost ready to say charge me anyway but please don't actually do the etching.

If you’re from WA and buying in OR you’ll pay tax and titke fees to the dealer.

Interesting, I'm surprised an OR dealer would collect WA taxes.

Pretty sure that’s how it work. Pretty simple to call the F&I guy and ask. But the state doesn’t trust you to pay the taxes. 😜

I assumed I'd pay them at the DMV like a used car.

I have not talked to Nick yet, let me know how it goes with the etching fee. Talked to my insurance guy, he said it is just a dealer profit center, that benefits only the dealer, no discounts for etching.

I emailed Chase this morning, who Nick delegated my order to, and expressed my displeasure about them planning to damage my windows. Now I wait.

He responded and said they can skip the windows and just do body panels. I can live with that.
