So I haven't got a Bronco yet ... stuck on Ice Mountain - but something occurred to me the other day and I want to clarify how FordPass works.
Someone mentioned to me that apparently you can use your computer from home and click a few things and start up your Bronco remotely, and also locate it. So not that this will REALLY affect me, but it did occur to me... assuming your family has access to your FordPass, they can instantly locate your Bronco at any time? I heard they can even turn on the cameras and watch what you're doing or what's going on near your Bronco?
And assuming if this is Yes, and other vehicle brands/types/kinds have similar stuff ... Don't people see this as a problem? Think of all the cheating spouses that will be getting caught ... "Not only did I see your Bronco at her house, I watched on the cameras as you walked up to the door and then her kissing you goodbye afterwards..." or the people eating Fast Food/Junk Food and denying it or the people stopping at the liquor stores or drug neighborhoods or just having lied about where they went/what they did etc.. Especially if you double-down on it ... "So you didn't stop at McDonalds??" No way! "I watched on the cameras as you pulled the Bronco into the Drive-Thru... then I saw your car located in the parking lot for the next 30 minutes.." etc.
I'm not really concerned because in general I don't do any of that stuff but still , I guess it just skeezes me a little that it's possible. I am down with remote start, not sure that I need it from the computer and not the keyfob but whatever ... but the tracking and cameras from the computer, that is half-hilarious to me half-scary. Is that the way it works? Thanks!
